Cambridge-Ellis School serves 86 children, ages 2 to 5, in six classrooms, each staffed by one head teacher and two teachers. We are dedicated to teacher training and to keeping our teacher-to-child ratio small. We regularly have student teachers from Lesley, Wheelock, Tufts, and other universities participating on classroom teams.

We enjoy strong connections between parents and staff members at Cambridge-Ellis. Our Curriculum Night in the fall gives parents a flavor of their children's daily experiences. Our Next-Schools Night in November offers assistance in selecting a new school when it is time to transition away from Cambridge-Ellis. We offer parenting workshops to strengthen skills ranging from behavior management to reducing sibling rivalry. We welcome families at our Friday assemblies, as well as at our Valentine's Day breakfast and Grandfriends Day celebration in May.

Our sunlit building has spacious classrooms, a large common area, and two playgrounds. We are located at 80 Trowbridge Street, between Cambridge and Kirkland Streets, approximately one-half mile from Harvard Square and one mile from Inman Square.
